Expandashield Gasketing Material
Series 170

EAST COAST SHIELDING 170 Series gaskets and gasketing material are fabricated from an unfilled or silicone filled severely expanded Monel or Aluminum.

APPLICATIONS:
170 Series unfilled is recommended for applications requiring EMI shielding of seams with up to 0.005? of joint unevenness. 170 Series filled with silicone is recommended for applications requiring EMI shielding of seams with up to 0.005? of joint unevenness which also must provide a pressure seal. Both types of 170 Series are very effective in penetrating non- conductive coatings on the gasket mounting surface.

AVAILABLE CONFIGURATIONS:
170 Series is available for delivery in the materials and sizes listed in table 170A and 170B. Expandashield gasketing material can be supplied in 12? wide rolls or can be custom die-cut to your specifications. For custom die-cut gaskets, please submit a drawing of the gasket and the type of material required. Expandashield is also available in standard connector gasket sizes.
